The Very Meaning of Teamwork
Wow! First of all, let me say a huge thank you to everyone on the What’s Cookin team. To everyone that has helped us bloom from just an idea to a website (and soon-to-be app), thank you so much for all of the time, energy, and effort you have put into this.
As someone who just joined What’s Cookin as an intern, I was and remain amazed about the amount of commitment, positivity, and drive the whole team shows. Every single day teammates are working to make What’s Cookin better and better.
One of the joys of working with What’s Cookin is when we all get together as a group to share ideas. We just had a team meeting that really exemplifies the investment people are placing in this company and the ideas that it stands for. We went over the budget for our recently acquired funding, and every single voice was heard. Even new interns like myself had the opportunity to pitch their thoughts and ideas. We had the chance to really dive into where we want to be putting the funds, and how best to implement them. Our goal is to really use these funds wisely and make sure they are used to give users the best possible experience. This meeting was just one out of dozens that occur on a weekly basis. At every single one, team members are getting their thoughts out there.
Since What’s Cookin is all about community, it should be no surprise that a community is exactly how the team acts and feels. From developers to marketers, designers, and more, everyone is willing to pitch in a hand when needed.
